Customer Tags
The customer tags module allows you to create tags that can be manually or automatically connected to a customer card. Use cases for this can be to give a group of customers a discount or to give the box office personnel an indication that certain customers are special. It is also possible to connect a special offer to a customer tag. A tag is only visible internally.
Create tag
To create a new tag navigate to Administration > Customers > Tags and click Add tag in the top right corner.
Information
Name
- Name of the customer tag, displayed on the customer card.
Abbreviation
- Abbreviation of the customer tag, displayed on the customer card.
Icon (optional)
- Select an icon that will be displayed on the customer card. When no icon is set, the abbreviation will be shown on the customer card.
Color
- Define the colour the customer tag has on the customer card.
Display setting
- Define where the customer tag should be visible in Box Office.
- Display on customer screen will show the customer tag as a label on the customer card.
- Only visible in customer details will only show the customer tag in the 360 customer overview.
- Display notification on customer screen will create a pop-up notification when opening a customer card. The message that is displayed can be input in the Internal note field.
- Define where the customer tag should be visible in Box Office.
Expires
- If set to Yes, it is possible to define when the tag should automatically be removed from the customer. Either on a fixed date or X number of days after creation.
When a customer tag is connected to a membership the expiry date is the same as the expiry date of the membership.
Benefits
Under the Benefits tab, you can specify which ticket type(s) the tag has access to. You can also specify for how many events/subscriptions the customer is allowed to purchase the specified ticket type(s) for, and how many tickets of the specified ticket type the customer is allowed to purchase in total or per event/subscription.
Connections
Under the tab Connections, it is possible to set that customers automatically get tagged when they purchase a specific event, subscription or membership.
It is also possible to tag customers based on their purchase behaviour. For example, if they bought x number of tickets / events or for a certain amount within x number of days.
Scanning
Set scan notification to yes if you want to add a note. Then when a ticket with a scan notification is scanned, the configured message will show up at the top of the screen. There are two levels of severity: normal and severe, which defines how the message is displayed. The pop up either disappears after a few seconds (normal) or stays displayed until the next scan (severe).
Organisations
Under the organisations tab the customer tag can be shared with other organisations. This means that users who have access to an organisation that is connected to the customer tag will be able to see and add the tag to customer cards.
Upload
When a customer tag is not connected to a membership, it is also possible to upload a list of customers to either tag or remove the tag in bulk. This can be done based on customer numbers or email addresses.
Manually tag customers
Customer card
On the customer card you can manually add a tag to the customer. In the customer overview any already added tag is shown. Click the tag icon to review or remove a tag, click the + icon to add a new tag to the customer. When benefits are connected to the customer tag, the use is tracked under the label on the customer card.
Segmentation
By creating a segment in the segmentation module, it is possible to bulk add a tag to a batch of customers. E.g. Add the VIP tag to all customers that have spent more than €500 within the last year.
Connect tag to special offer
It is possible to connect a specific tag to a special offer, making it possible for all customers with a certain tag to access special offers from My pages.
